As well as public events for the village, the hall is a favourite location for many local children’s parties, anniversary celebrations, wedding and engagement parties, and birthdays. And if it’s not parties, then it’s activities of interest for the villagers from sports such as Badminton, Dance and Karate (Tang soo doo) to Computer classes, Tuesday group and Leisure Group. Every school day the hall hosts morning playgroup sessions.
A committee of volunteers keep the Village Hall functioning smoothly and the building well maintained. This is done entirely by fund-raising and voluntary support.
VILLAGE HALL
The Village Hall will be holding a Jumble Sale on Saturday 16th October from 12 noon at the hall. Please can you save your unwanted items for us?
Please leave your Jumble marked JUMBLE on the roadside by 1pm on Sunday 10th October if you live in the Village. I will advise collection for Parc Y Gwenfo and Brooklands Terrace area in next month’s Whats On. As we are such a small fundraising committee it is difficult to get to every area of the village If you are reading this and live up the Twyn, St Lythans, St Andrews or Burdons Hill etc. please give us a ring and we will call up on the 10th whilst collecting in the Village. Thank You.
If you have any Jumble which you would like removed before this date please phone us or alternatively if you attend a group at the hall you can leave it on the stairs.
