The Quaffers of Wenvoe |

Tasting the fruits of the vine - whilst enjoying
excellent company. The Quaffers have been meeting for five years since the inaugural get together in December 2001 when 21 villagers decided to form the group. We have met every month apart from August since and have tasted 100’s of different wines, cocktails, fortified wines and Champagne. The membership now stands at 48 (maximum limit) and we attract approximately 38 to each meeting. We have a long waiting list of people wanting to join the club. The meetings are in the Church Hall on the
last Friday of each month. We hold a Christmas Dinner in December,
when we have the best wines of the year along with a sumptuous
dinner of 5 or 6 courses prepared by our members. Each year we have
also held a garden party in the summer and organise a luxury foreign
bus tour in the autumn. |
