PCSO Stone outlined details of sixteen crimes.

10/00249/FUL Sutton Mawr, Weycock Road, Barry, retrospective application For the development of a tennis court and associated works and use of land for leisure purposes ancillary to the enjoyment of the dwelling house.
Resolved:
To support subject to Vale Council approval of land use for leisure purposes.

ORDER 1b

It was proposed that the 2010 Annual General Meeting be held on Thursday 20-05-10 at 7-30pm instead of Thursday 13-05-10.
Resolved: To approve.

 

10/43. ‘UNUSED’ LAND AT 1 CLOS LLANFAIR, WENVOE.
Preliminary enquiry made as to whether ‘unused’ land forming part of garden at above address would be available for purchase as an addition to adjoining cemetery.
Resolved: Not to pursue further at present.

 

10/44 REVIEW OF COUNCILLORS’ ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS.
Welsh Assembly Government Review with questionnaire.
Resolved: Councillors to respond to Clerk who will submit response

10/46. SUB-COMMITTEE REPORTS.
Community Liaison: Voting rights at Community Liaison Meetings by Vale Councillors as Liaison Meeting is a sub-committee of the main council. Decided that in future Community Councillors will be eligible to vote at liaison meetings before the Vale Councillors vote. PACT Mtg: Brooklands Terrace roundabout improvement now completed. Local problems of anti-social behaviour at Wenvoe Playing Fields, Burdonshill and Community Centre reported again.(I.Moody)

Horses being ridden on grassland in Grange Park. (Not on Bridlepath)

Stiles broken on path leading to Orchid field.
Garden rubbish being dumped at Quarry Entrance Tarrws Lane.
Overgrown bushes in Tarrws Lane.
Dog Fouling Walston Road. Blue waste bags being thrown into hedge there.
Landfill Entrance. Overgrown hedge there.

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST.
None.

 

TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING PLANNING APPLICATION:

10/00350/FUL 31 Old Port Road, Wenvoe – single storey extension.
Resolved:
Not to support. The property is in the Conservation Area and is designated as a ‘Positive’ building within that area. The proposed building line is forward of the main building and the external material does not match the original dwelling. It will be an over-development of the site.

 

ANY OTHER PLANNING MATTERS.
McDonalds Restaurant, Valegate Retail Park – application to vary a premises licence – Licensing Act 2003. i.e. To remain open until 5am each day. At present premises are open until 5am only on Fridays and Saturdays.
