Leisure Group

This Group was set up in 1976 for retired people aged 60 and over residing in Wenvoe. This has since been amended to include retired people aged 55 and over residing in Wenvoe and adjacent areas. Meetings are held in the Village Hall on Wednesday afternoons.

A varied programme is provided. Over the past twelve months this has included quizzes, 2 How to trace your ancestors on the Internet”, “Tai Chi”, “The Bayeux Tapestry”, Bingo, “Journey to Egypt”, “Skin Care”, “The meaning of flowers”, Line Dancing and several musical afternoons (some with gentle exercise).

Members receive a subsidised Christmas Lunch, a free Strawberries and Cream Tea and a free Fish 'n' Chip lunch during the year. There are also usually two outings every year.
